Fabtronic also supplied an additional arena PA for inside the stadium, where a large amount of demonstrations and entertainments took place."A Tribute to Legends!" The Saturday evening culminated in a spectacular concert held within the stadium. The concert was "A Tribute to Legends" and included some of the world's best tribute acts including Elvis, Madonna, Beatles, Robbie Williams, Frank Sinatra, ABBA and Queen; combining full live bands and playback. For this Fabtronic supplied the complete production infrastructure including Temporary Roadway, Generators, Power Distribution, Stage, Concert Sound and Lighting system. The show must go on... On Bank Holiday Sunday, due to a severe weather warning and torrential rain, the decision was taken that it was in the public's best interest not to host the concert in the open air.Within two hours of the executive decision being made, Fabtronic managed to restructure the production to fit within the Stadium's function suites, including a 12m wide Starcloth backdrop, moving light rig and concert PA system. All in time for the 40 piece London Pops Orchestra to complete their rehearsals for the evening performance. The show was an amazing success and was a testament to Northampton Saints & Fabtronic's commitment to providing quality entertainment and services to the Northampton community. The system is based around a series of facility locations around the Hall & Atrium, allowing instant connection of microphones, laptops and other portable equipment. The facilities are networked to a central location where all the switching and routing takes place "behind-the-scenes".Audio Solution The audio system was based around the BSS Soundweb London processing system, taking care of all the routing, dynamics and signal conditioning. The Blu10 touchscreens enable system users direct control of parameter presets. The speaker system was supplied by JBL, utilising the brand new VRX line array to overcome the difficult acoustics of the vast Atrium, coupled with Control 30 in-fills and delays ensuring even coverage throughout the space. Futher Control 30's were deployed in the Lecture Theatre. The whole system was powered by Crown amplification and was time-aligned and equailsed via SMAART and the Soundweb London processing. Lighting SolutionThe Lecture Theatre required a simple yet demanding lighting specification. Fabtronic chose ETC dimming delivering power to Internally Wired Bars. A DMX network of tie-lines and facilities allows the connection of additional equipment to the system. The installtion of Artistic Licence Dimmer Switch replay units allows non-technical users to recall scenes and lighting looks without the requirement of a Lighting Console. In the Atrium, ETC Source Four Zoom profiles were suspended from bespoke circular lighting bars, designed and fabtricated by Fabtronic.Audio Visual Solution Due to the scale of the Atrium, it was important that the use for presentation wasn't lost. To overcome this Fabtronic installed two 12ft motorised projection screens with Sanyo 6500 lumen projectors. This enables users to view a clear image even in daylight conditions.Once again, a network of facilites allows users the flexibility to connect to the system as required.
